The Richard M. Guon Child Care Center can assist eligible MCC student parents with their child care costs. The Center has two grants which are targeted to provide low income student parents with subsidies for child care. MCC students who have served in the U. S. Military (Active Duty, Reserves, or Guard) or have a spouse who is on active duty, receive priority enrollment for their children. In addition, the MCC Association, Inc. has established a scholarship fund for eligible student parents who do not meet the income guidelines for the subsidy grants.
- For full time child care – Student parent must be taking 15 credits(or classroom hours) between 7:00-5:30pm. On-line courses do not meet eligibility requirements. Student parents may also qualify if taking 9 credits and working 21 hours per week between 7-5:30pm. If receiving full time child care subsidy, children must attend the Richard M.
