This 8-credit Microcredential provides introductory knowledge in both elements of building construction and highway and site construction. The first course includes the study of the materials, methods and techniques used in building construction projects. The second course includes the study of the materials, methods and techniques used in site work, highway, utility, and other heavy construction projects. These are all skills that a construction technician needs for the majority of construction industry employers. This credential will provide a jump start for someone who wants to enter into the construction field. The courses are part of the Construction Technology A.A.S degree program.
