PSY 299 - Applied Psychology Internship Extension

1 Credit

This course provides an opportunity for students to extend their internship experience at a partner agency. Approval by the selected partner agency is required. This course provides support for students’ work and addresses more specialized counseling skills. Course registration requires permission of the instructor.

Prerequisite(s): EBL 101

Course Learning Outcomes
1.Apply the agency's professional standards through attendance, dress, and conduct.
2.Analyze one’s own use of the helping skills needed when interacting with clients who are served in this setting.
3.Demonstrate strategies for working with clients who are served in this setting.
4.Report how one respects the integrity and privacy of individuals and groups served in this setting.
5.Build professional proficiency by adhering to paperwork deadlines, attending meetings as a part of the agency team, and contributing to the agency's mission.
