GLF 115 - Introduction to Golf Management

3 Credits

This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the golf industry. It also provides the student with an understanding of the etiquette, definitions and rules that govern the game of golf.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Explain the origin of the game
2. Trace the history of golf from its infancy to contemporary times
3. Identify job opportunities within the industry of golf
4. Provide job descriptions for many of the golf occupations
5. Translate the rules of golf
6. Interpret the rules in a golf match
