Mathematics for Teachers

This 12 credit microcredential is designed to support in-service New York State certified teachers who are seeking supplementary and/or additional teaching certification in Mathematics. These courses cover a significant portion of the New York State learning standards and teaching competencies in this subject area.
Note: NYSED does not pre-approve any coursework for supplementary or additional teacher certifications. Teachers must submit their transcripts to NYSED directly to apply for these certifications. Prospective students are encouraged to reach out to the NYSED Office of Teaching Initiatives or their Regional Certification Office for more information on certification pathways and the application process.
NYSED requires a grade of C or higher in subject area classes in order for them to count towards certification. Only 6 total credits of Statistics coursework will be accepted.
