OFT 173 - Office Multimedia Communications

This course will offer a thorough coverage of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Canva for the office professional. Microsoft PowerPoint instruction will cover preparing and viewing slide presentations, animation, use of color and objects, and importing and exporting data and images. Activities include creating a slide show as well as delivering the presentation. Canva and Microsoft Word will be used to create a variety of visual content focusing on the design of administrative publications. Topics will include designing page layouts, use of pre-design templates, adding text and design elements, adjusting colors and fonts, and exporting the design for publication. Microsoft Outlook covers uses of communicating by e-mail, managing contacts, calendaring, address book, and schedule management. Knowledge of the personal computer, keyboard, and mouse is strongly recommended.
