Upward Bound Program

Our Goal is a College Degree!

Upward Bound is a federally funded program that provides academic counseling and other  services for Rochester City School District (RCSD) high school students to help them graduate from high school and be successful in college.

However, earning a high school diploma is only the first step. Let us assist you with the college admissions process. You can persevere and earn your college degree too!

How to enroll

MCC Upward Bound students must meet the following requirements:

  • Entering 9th grade, or currently in 9th or 10th grade
  • Attending or entering one of these four RCSD high schools:
    • School 58-World of Inquiry
    • Rochester Early College International High School
    • Wilson Magnet High School
    • Northwest College Preparatory High School

  • Have a Grade Point Average of 2.5 or higher
