Police Motorcycle Operator Refresher Course
Program Announcement
The Monroe County Public Safety Training Facility (PSTF), in partnership with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, will be holding a two-day Police Motorcycle Operator Refresher Course. This course focuses on refreshing the skills of experienced police motorcycle operators. Training will occur at the Xerox Corporation, 800 Phillips Road, Webster, NY, Building 128 parking lot (northeast corner of Phillips Rd. and San Jose Dr.).
Students who successfully complete this course will receive one (1) college credit from Monroe Community College.
Session Dates
Two Choices:
- April 27 thru 28, 2026, 8am to 4pm
OR
- April 29 thru April 30, 2026, 8am to 4pm
Prerequisites
- Active duty, sworn police or peace officer;
- Possession of a valid NYS Class M license;
- Motorcycle operator training certification.
Required Attire and/or Equipment
Attire (dress code):
- Attendees must provide and wear proper riding attire (DOT approved helmet, eye protection, full finger gloves, over the ankle boots, and rain gear as needed).
Equipment:
- Must supply fully functional motorcycle in good condition.

- Maintenance
- Emergency braking
- Evasive maneuvers
- Curb and obstacle negotiations
- Traffic stops
- Curve negotiation
Graduation Requirements
- 90% attendance (policy set by Monroe Community College)
- Passing score on a proficiency riding assessment
Course Tuition and Fees

Tuition: $217.00 (per person)

Estimated Student Fees: $113.00 (Student fees may vary each semester)

Note: Monroe Community College may find it necessary to revise tuition and fees as necessary and reserves the right to do so.
Reservations
Please complete the online Law Enforcement Program Course Reservation Form prior to April 3, 2026. Reservations submitted after this date will be considered based on seating availability. Submitting a reservation form does not guarantee admittance to a course. Confirmation notices will be emailed to the individual who submits/approves the reservation request approximately two weeks prior to the class. Please remember to check your junk/spam folder.
To avoid double tuition billing, a Certificate of Residence is required from students who reside outside of Monroe County.
