Types of Appointments Offered

Individual Sessions: The Counseling Center offers both face-to-face and tele-counseling sessions. Face-to-face counseling is an option when safe measures are put in place. The Counseling Center’s tele-counseling services align with state and federal laws and professional ethical guidelines.  The Counseling Center provides tele-counseling sessions using a secure video platform. Students that reside out of NYS who would like assistance in locating a referral should also contact the office for support. Students interested in long term counseling will also be referred to appropriate care in their local area.

Groups: Currently, the Counseling Center is offering virtual drop-in group sessions and skill-building workshops. Please refer to our Workshops and Events page for more information.

Triage: The Counseling Center offers “Triage” (Crisis) support during hours of operation.  The purpose of triage support is to determine a student’s immediate concern and assess for risk factors. Upon completion of an assessment the Counselor and student will create an action plan with next steps for support.
