Seeds of Success

If you need assistance with time-management, need to improve your study skills, or get nervous on exams, we encourage you to attend the Seeds of Success (SOS) Workshop Series. The SOS Workshops Series will be hosted in person during the Spring 2023 semester. Students who have participated in SOS workshops in the past have demonstrated reduced test anxiety as well as improved study habits and academic achievement. These workshops are available to all interested students and RSVP is not required

Health Insurance Reps on Campus

Health Benefits Representatives from Molina Healthcare, Fidelis Care Healthcare and MVP Healthcare will have information tables set up at our Brighton Campus on the Terrace every week for the Spring Semester.  Students can stop by the informational table to learn more about the available health insurance resources.

Free STD/HIV Testing

To support with the health of the community, MCC Counseling Center, Disability Services and Health Services has partnered with the Monroe County Department of Public Health to offer STD/HIV testing for all interested MCC students. Testing is free of charge and confidential. Testing is offered once a month at our Health Services office (3-165). 

Wellness Workshop Lunch and Learn Series

Weekly workshops are offered every Thursday and the goal is to focus on overall wellness. These workshops are designed to provide students with tools to support academic and personal success. Lunch provided.

The Counseling Center offers occasional drop-in group sessions and skills workshops. Event details and Zoom links will be posted in the MCC Tribune. For additional information, please contact our office.
