Engineering Technologies Lab Tour

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY LAB: ROOM 09-158

Used by the CIT Construction Technology program, Room 9-158 is the home-base for lab experiments in Concrete and Soil Analysis, Strength of Materials and Surveying. Located in the room are tools and equipment used for preparing and testing properties of various construction materials.

The room also includes several universal testing machines for analyzing building material samples as well as a Tinius-Olsen 400,000 lb. capacity machine used for larger samples. The "Smart" Lab also features full A/V capabilities and a storage area for equipment and supplies used in the various lab experiments where students gain hands-on experience in construction methods.
