Verification Process

Verification: is the confirmation through documentation that the information provided on a student's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is correct. The federal government requires colleges and universities to verify or confirm the data reported by students and their parent(s) on the FAFSA.

Request Tax Information

U.S. Tax Filers

Please submit a signed filed copy of your and/or your spouse or parent(s) federal 1040. If you do not have one readily available, please contact your tax preparer or log into the electronic tax filing service you've used.

Foreign Tax Filers/ Non-Filers

If you, your parent(s), or your spouse filed a foreign tax return you must provide a copy of the original tax return transcript, along with an English translated copy.
If you, your parent(s), or spouse earned foreign wages but were not required to file a foreign tax return; you must provide proof of non-filers statement from that country.
If you, your parent(s), or spouse did not earned foreign wages and were not required to file a foreign tax return; you must provide proof of non-filers statement from that country.
- If that country does not provide proof of non-filers statement, please submit a signed statement to the MCC Financial Aid Office.
