Verification Process
In order to confirm the accuracy of your FAFSA data, Federal Student Aid may randomly select you for a process called Verification. During this procedure students, parent(s), and or spouse are required to provide the college with additional information, as noted by the college. Under federal regulations, your, your parent(s), and or spouse's participation is mandatory, not voluntary and we appreciate your cooperation. Failure to provide the requested documentation may result in financial delays, cancellations, and or repayment of prior disbursed aid. The verificaiton process can result in changes to the financial aid award. Your eligiblility may increase, decrease, or stay the same depending on what information needs to be changed. If selected, the following documents may be requested: DRT completion, signed federal tax returns, federal/ state issued identification, proof of high school completion, etc.
