Artificial Intelligence at MCC

One place for our campus to learn what AI is, how to use it responsibly, and where to get support. Built by MCC Libraries and Virtual Campus in partnership with the AI Workgroup.

Introduction

At Monroe Community College, we embrace innovation to empower our faculty and prepare our students for the future. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming every industry, and our goal is to provide the MCC community with the knowledge, tools, and support to engage with AI thoughtfully, ethically, and effectively.

Whether you're a faculty member curious about incorporating AI into your course design or a student looking to leverage AI tools for your career, we are here to help you navigate this exciting landscape.

MCC's Statement on AI in Teaching and Learning

The MCC AI Workgroup created an MCC statement on the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning. Faculty should convey clear and transparent expectations regarding AI utilization. Course information sheets, rubrics, and/or other materials must include a statement on the acceptable use of AI for
assignments within the course. The AI Assessment Scale can be used as a guide to create personal course policies.
