A resident student is a student who resides on campus.
Resident students who park a vehicle on the Brighton Campus are required to go on-line to their MCC parking account and request parking at the start of each semester. A transportation fee is placed on the students account at the time the student registers for classes for the fall and spring semester. For summer sessions and intersession, students are not charged a parking registration fee until they have registered their vehicle online.
If you change vehicles during the semester, the new vehicle would need to be registered.
Parking on the Brighton Campus is a paper-less permit system. Your vehicle license plate and registration serve as your "virtual permit" with the College.
Parking lots R, S, and T are designated for resident students. These lots are indicated on your permit receipt. Resident students in possession of a resident parking registration may park in any commuter lot from 5:00 pm - 12:00 midnight.
If you need to bring a different vehicle onto campus, temporary permits are available. To register a different vehicle for a short term period, please bring the vehicle's registration and Photo ID to Parking Services (Building 1 room 102).
Resident students who wish to have a guest park on campus must purchase a guest permit from Parking Services (Building 1 room 102) during business hours. All guests must park in rows 4 and 5 of Lot E which are designated by signage. Each resident is allowed 25 guest/visitor permits per semester. The cost for a guest/visitor permit purchased from Parking Services is $2. Plan accordingly.
After business hours, guest/visitors may purchase parking at the pay stations located by Building 4, Building 10, and the sidewalk between Buildings 9 and 9A. The cost for using the pay stations is $5 per day with a maximum purchase of 3 consecutive days.
Guests/Visitors paper permits must be displayed on the vehicle's dashboard. All information must be written in pen with no alterations. Any alterations on the permits will void the permit and vehicle is subject to ticketing.
Parking enforcement for resident students is a different date than for commuter students. The deadline for parking enforcement is located on each entrance sign in the residence lots. Please make sure you are aware of the enforcement dates to avoid receiving parking violations.
