Writing Programs


Read&Write is text-to-speech software program to support with reading passages, documents, and online content. The program can also be used for writing support with the built-in spell check feature and dictation tool. Users can also turn spoken words into text. 

You can download the software as an extension on Google Chrome, to your Windows PC or Mac computer. 

To download the program for free, please refer to the directions below:

  1. Login to your MyMCC account
  2. Select the "Students Tab"
  3. Select the "Campus Life" tab.
  4. Scroll down to the "Students with Disabilities" section and select on the "Downloading Read&Write Directions".

Kurzweil 3000

The programs allows users to map ideas with graphic organizers, check spelling, practice spelling and use the word prediction features. You can download Kurzweil 3000 on your personal computer by following the steps below:

  1. Login to your MyMCC account.
  2. Select the "Students"tab.
  3. Select the "Campus Life" tab. 
  4. Scroll down to the bottom right hand corner of the page and click on "Downloading Kurzweil 3000". 
  5. Follow the downloading instructions.

If you need assistance accessing the installation guide, please contatct Kurzweil Education Customer Support. Reach out to our office if you need assistance creating a username or password.
