After winning talent contests as a child, Carlton Campbell began playing drums for The Campbell Brothers at age 12. His musical aptitudes led him to produce albums for Upstate New York artists and, ultimately, to becoming a music educator. Carl is a professor and the assistant director of technical arts for Houghton’s Music Industry program.
In addition to internships for Houghton students, Carl established a mentoring program in the City of Buffalo for young aspiring sound engineers. He is also an artist consultant with the Strings for Life Music Project in Rochester, N.Y. Carl earned an MCC associate degree in liberal arts and sciences prior to studying industrial engineering at the University at Buffalo and leadership development at Houghton College.
